According to a school representative, federal privacy regulations prohibit the school from identifying the victims.
Rosing was recognised as “Jane Doe” on the internet jail record late Sunday afternoon. A university representative confirmed that Rosing was the arrested student.
In an email to students, university president Capilouto stated that the victim student employee “behaved with professionalism, restraint, and caution.”
The email also states that the school’s Office of Student Conduct has initiated an immediate investigation into the attack and that its Student Success teams are “reaching out to the victimised students to offer support.”
“To be clear: we detest this behaviour and will not accept it under any circumstances,” Capilouto wrote in an email to students, promising to keep them apprised of any new information.
When asked if Rosing is still enrolled at the school. A spokesman stated that authorities “do not comment on ongoing student disciplinary processes” and that officials “will communicate with students and teachers tonight about the range of options we give and will provide.”
