Reliance Industries said at the 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) that it is working with Alphabet Inc’s Google to bring an “ultra-affordable” 5G phone to India very soon. The company said it had planned to cost $25 billion to get 5G network services up and running within two months. By Diwali this year, the Jio 5G network will be available in cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai. By December 2023, the network will be public all over India. It is said to remove PragatiOS, which it made in partnership with Google, from the box.
In terms of optics, the Jio Phone 5G will reportedly have a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP macro lens on the back of the device. It might have an 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The phone will likely have a fingerprint sensor on the side and a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged quickly with 18W. 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port are all ways to connect.

The Jio Phone 5G is likely between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000, and it will come with a prepaid pack. The phone will have a down payment option; the rest can be paid off in easy installments.
