Maruti Grand Vitara CNG variant is expected to be released in India soon.

Automobiles Latest

Maruti Suzuki is making a CNG version of the Grand Vitara, which should be available in India in the next few weeks. In the near future, only the CNG version of the mid-size SUV and the Hyryder E-CNG will be powered by CNG among its competitors. Follow hitsbuddy for latest news.

Even though there aren’t many official details yet, we think that the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG will have the same 1.5-liter K-Series gasoline engine and a mild-hybrid motor. The engine can produce up to 114 bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque. A five-speed manual transmission will send this power to the front wheels.

The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG version is likely to come in two versions: Delta and Zeta. The colours could be the same as the regular versions. Features are also likely to be mostly the same as on the regular Grand Vitara. More details could surface soon. Keep an eye out for news.

Maruti Grand Vitara CNG: Variants Expected, Prices

Toyota has said that the Hyryder CNG will be available in two different models, but we expect Maruti to offer the Grand Vitara CNG in a wider range of models, which could include CNG options for even the base models.

The only direct competitor to the coming Grand Vitara CNG will be the Hyryder CNG. Like its gasoline and gasoline-hybrid versions, the Grand Vitara CNG will be priced a little less than its competitor. The CNG option will cost between Rs 75,000 and Rs 95,000 more than the petrol mild-hybrid option.

Maruti Grand Vitara’s CNG version will increase sales.

Together, sales of the Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder have already passed those of the Seltos and are only a small amount behind those of the Creta. With CNG options coming soon to both the Grand Vitara and the Hyryder, it could be the last push to get to the top of the compact SUV market.

Surprisingly, October sales show that the Grand Vitara and Hyryder haven’t had any effect on the Creta at all. On the other hand, Creta’s sales have gone up by an impressive 84.04% year over year. The Grand Vitara and Hyryder seem to have hurt sales of other SUVs like the Seltos, Taigun, and Kushaq, which all had negative YoY growth in October compared to the same month last year.
