The new cars are based on INGLO, a new platform for electric skateboards. Mahindra could build different kinds of cars on this platform in the future. Mahindra’s new line of electric SUVs will have more than one battery pack and options for both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The cars will also have cutting-edge technology, such as a three-screen infotainment system and an augmented reality navigation system.

The Mahindra XUV.e8 will be an electric version of the Mahindra XUV700 that will be able to drive on all four wheels. It will be on Indian roads by December 2024. The XUV.e9 will be the next one. The new INGLO platform can hold SUVs that are between 4.3 and 4.7 metres long and have room for up to seven people. The length of the wheelbase can be set in different ways, and most battery packs will fit. Each wheel of the platform can hold a motor. The front suspension will be a McPherson strut, and the back suspension will be a five-link break. It is also the lightest platform of its kind. But it is very stiff and meets the safety requirements of Euro NCAP, Global NCAP, and Bharat NCAP.
At 218 mm, the INGLO platform’s battery ground clearance will be one of the highest in its class. Between 60 and 80 kWh will be in the battery pack. It can be charged at 175kW, which takes 30 minutes and gets it to 80%. According to WLTP, the 80kWh battery pack has a range of about 415 km.
