Before it comes out, a Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV that was covered up was seen testing on public roads. The car was first shown at Auto Expo 2020, and sales are expected to begin in early 2023. In many ways, the XUV400 will be like the XUV300. But it won’t be the same as the ICE model because it won’t be as long and will look different.
The Mahindra XUV400 is a small electric SUV that will probably compete in India with the popular Tata Nexon EV Prime and Tata Nexon EV MAX. Follow hitsbuddy
On the road, XUV400 was being tested while still covered.
A small electric SUV called the Mahindra XUV400 that is getting a lot of attention has been seen testing again on public roads. It’s a secret this time, too. The vehicle looks like it’s still being put together. The XUV400 will be shown for the first time at the Auto Expo in 2020. It should hit the market in early 2023.
Most of the XUV400 is based on the SsangYong Tivoli, which is also what the ICE-powered XUV300 is based on. The length of the XUV300 was cut down so that it was less than 4m. This was done so that the Indian government would give a tax break to cars that are less than 4m long. So, the XUV400 will be longer than the XUV300. It should be about 4.2m long.
The XUV400 will have a different look from the Tivoli and the XUV300. The XUV400 will probably have a grille that is covered up, a curved front bumper, and triangle-shaped fog light housings. The headlight cluster has also been changed, and a central air intake has been added, possibly to cool down the brakes.
At the back, the XUV400 will get a new tailgate and two LED tail lights that go all the way around the back of the car. The side profile will look better with new alloy wheels, and the XUV400 could get bigger 17-inch alloys.

The front wheels of the XUV400 will be powered by a single electric motor. This motor should have about 150bhp at its most powerful. There will be two choices when it comes to the size of the battery. The XUV400 could also get the latest ADRENOX platform with ADAS features and an updated infotainment system.
Mahindra plans to make eight electric vehicles (EVs) by 2027, and the XUV400 will be one of them. The car is also expected to be the first in Mahindra’s new line of electric vehicles (EVs), which will be out soon. But the XUV400 might be different from the other EVs Mahindra is planning as part of its “Born Electric” initiative. That’s because those other products are probably sold all over the world and may cost more because of where they are.
