BYD (Build Your Dreams) will unveil the Atto 3 electric SUV in India on October 11. Making it the second model offered by the manufacturer in the country. The Atto 3 is a nearly 4.5-meter-long electric SUV with five seats, comparable to a Hyundai Alcazar. They would cost between 25 and 35 lakh rupees. The Atto 3 electric SUV’s technical specifications and equipment list were posted online prior to its release.

BYD ATTO 3: DIMENSION INFORMATION
The BYD Atto 3’s dimensions are as follows: 4.455 millimetres in length It has a width of 1,875mm, a height of 1,615mm, and a wheelbase of 2,720mm. It is significantly larger than its principal rivals, the MG ZS EV (4,323 mm) and the Hyundai Kona (1,767 mm) (4,180mm). The Atto 3 will have a 440-litre trunk capacity and 175mm ground clearance. It weighs 1,750 kg.
BYD ATTO 3: PERFORMANCE AND POWERTRAIN
The BYD Atto 3 is propelled by a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor producing 201 horsepower and 310 Newton-meters of peak torque. The electric motor only drives the front wheels. Also equipped with regenerative braking technology. BYD claims that the Atto 3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 7.4 seconds.
BYD ATTO 3: RANGE AND BATTERY CAPABILITY
India is expected to offer the Atto 3 with two battery pack variants. WLTP-certified range of 345 kilometres provided by a 49.92kWh battery pack. BYD will likely also offer a model with a longer range. A larger 60.48 kWh battery pack and WLTP-certified 420-kilometer range. The Atto 3 is compatible with DC quick charging at up to 80 kW.
BYD ATTO 3: EQUIPMENT
The Atto 3 destined for India will be beautifully furnished with LED illumination. A panoramic sunroof, a motorised tailgate, heated sideview mirrors, electrically adjustable front seats, wireless phone chargers, leatherette interior, automated climate control, a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen, and a 5-inch digital instrument cluster.
The Atto 3 is equipped with safety measures like a 360-degree camera. Advanced active safety technologies, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, front and rear collision warning, blind spot monitoring, and lane keep assist.
BYD ATTO 3: LAUNCH IN INDIA, DEALERSHIPS
After its introduction on October 11, it is unlikely that deliveries will begin until the beginning of 2023. The estimated pricing range for the Atto 3 is between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom), making it more expensive than its direct competitors.
