The brochure for the new BYD Atto 3 electric SUV has been leaked before it goes on sale in India. The brochure tells us how big it is, what powertrain options it has, and what features it has. The BYD Atto 3 was recently teased by the company, which has high hopes for what will be the world’s largest automaker in India’s first mainstream EV product. The BYD Atto 3 will join its stablemate, the BYD e6 EV MPV, which was first sold only to fleet buyers but is now available to private buyers as well. The BYD Atto 3 promises a range of up to 480 km, 7 airbags, an infotainment system with a 12.8-inch screen, and ADAS functions.

The brochure gives us an idea of how the Atto 3’s powertrain will work. There will be two options for battery packs, with capacities of 49.92kWh and 60.48kWh. The smaller battery pack can get you about 410 km, while the bigger one can get you about 480 km on a single charge. NEDC has signed off on the claimed range. According to the brochure, the smaller version of Atto 3 with a 49.92kWh battery pack can charge up to 70kW, while the bigger version with a 60.48kWh battery pack can charge up to 80kW. The safety package has ADAS features like collision warnings for the front and back, automatic braking, high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and more. The electric vehicle also comes with 7 airbags, hill descent control, and other electronic safety features. The Atto 3 will also be well-equipped, with a 360-degree camera system, a panoramic sunroof, LED lighting, and a wireless phone charger. The central infotainment system has a 12.8-inch screen that can be turned and works with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Prices could be between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom), and the company plans to release the EV SUV around Diwali.
